About the project
I decided to to make my own The New Yorker cover, embracing the idea of emotional well being. The character reaches to the sparkle and founds comfort, which symbolises getting in touch with yourself. My artwork is about discovering that special spark in a world that can sometimes seem dark and unknown. The most crucial part of the artwork is the background. I wanted to highlight one point—the star—by making it really stand out. I used warmer colours in the middle to show the comfort of finding peace within that sparkle, while cooler blues around the edges represent the world's sometimes cold exterior.
